A lot of people think that a minimalist home is barren, cold, and drab. Not so! At least not for me. Your home should be your sanctuary, filled with the things that you love, wether for their form or their function.

Remove any object that makes you feel anxious, stressed, guilty or uncomfortable. That horrible picture frame you hold on to because it was given to you by a relative? Ditch it. Those books you bought in a moment of inspiration but now sit on your bookshelf mocking you as yet another unfinished task? Donate them to the library. That piece of furniture you’ve been meaning to repair or restore but haven’t gotten around to after (insert number here) years? Let it go. Some projects are meant to be abandoned, some books are not meant to be read. Don’t let sunk costs stop you from liberating yourself from anything that doesn’t spark joy.
