I started this month committing myself to the 30 Days of Minimalism Game. I got off to a great start, because how hard can it be to get rid of one thing on May 1, two things on May 2, three things… Am I right?

Except that by day eight, this game started to stress me out. I don’t know how other folks play it, but I want no parts of something that has me feeling anxious about finding things to get rid off.

By day 10, I stopped trying to find “x” number of items per day, and instead just focused on clearing out the clutter one drawer at a time.

At first, I felt some type of way because I didn’t “succeed” at this game. But I got myself together quickly once I reminded myself that it does not matter how fast your or how much you do, as long as you are consistently going and doing.

I’m cheering for all the folks who make it through this challenge, bless their hearts. Y’all have an extra dose of fortitude and I salute you. As for me? Thank you, next.
